Kelly started dancing at the age of 3 and has loved every minute of it!  She grew up in Redlands and was a part of the Dance Horizons (Redlands, CA) competition teams for 20 years as a dancer, teacher, and choreographer. She has been trained in ballet, jazz, hip-hop, hula, lyrical, and tap. Thommie Retter (of Broadway’s BILLY ELLIOT) has been her tap teacher and mentor since the age of 14.  Kelly has taught at studios here in the Inland Empire and taught tap and hip-hop in Agoura Hills for Retter’s Academy of Dance.  She has a B.S. in the Recording Industry, and an M.A. in Higher Education and Learning & Teaching from the University of Redlands.  She is a physical education teacher at Cajon High School in San Bernardino. Not only can Kelly teach many forms of dance, but she also has skills when it comes to technology.  She can edit music and has filmed dance instructional videos for MusicWorks, recital footage for Retter’s Academy of Dance, and many recitals for local dance studios in the area.  Kelly is looking forward to bringing her style to so many new students and be back in a studio where she belongs!

siaki mason

didn’t start his dance journey until the end of his senior year in High School, after playing sports all through high school. It wasn’t until his first semester at CSUSB he took his first ballet and jazz class. There was asked to assist at CAHPERD’s annual Southwest Dance and Acro convention in Palm Springs. While there he was exposed to so many other styles, teachers and studios which pushed his drive to venture out and train even harder. Siaki has trained at various studios throughout the Inland Empire and has taken classes in LA as well. While his studio competitor days were short lived, Siaki continued his training and competing in the Hip-Hop dance community on multiple teams but found a home with Natural St8 based out of Chino,CA. He has taught at multiple studios and won various awards with his choreography. Siaki’s love for dance will always be there but his passion is now teaching and inspiring the next generation of dancers! He is excited and thankful to be apart of the De•fine staff and can’t wait to see what’s to come!

started dancing at the age of 6, under Sheree Skiles at Ballet Theater Company in Moreno Valley. She trained in Russian style technique. She spent her summers at the Rock School when it was affiliated with Pennsylvania Ballet and a few summers at Boston Ballet. Later, she spent a year training at Ballet Arizona and then trained under the now owners of Master Ballet Academy in Phoenix. She owned her own successful ballet studio for 7 years and am happy to say my students attended and were accepted in to many ballet summer programs, achieved high scores, technique and choreography. She has experience setting full length ballets; Nutcracker, Peter Pan, Lion King. She prides herself in using ballet to enhance students’ technique to make all other styles shine.  She specializes in young dancers and exposing them to the technique and vocabulary of ballet.
